Credits warping is the act of hacking Super Mario World, not with an external program or by fiddling with the code, but just by playing the game.
In this video, SethBling explains and executes a successful credit warp – a maneuver that allows him to “complete” (which is to say, skip the entire game and warp to the end credits) Super Mario World in less than six minutes.
He does this by doing a series of ludicrously specific things: pick up this shell, hit this block, move to this X coordinate. By doing so, he sets up the console’s memory to a very specific state that then allows him to glitch his way to the final room of the game.
