They Live Kicks Ass On Blu-Ray This Fall
Honestly, if the news of John Carpenter’s They Live coming to Blu-Ray doesn’t fill you with a childlike sense of glee, there is a good possibility that you may be dead inside. This horror/sci-fi classic is one of the most intriguing metaphors for blind consumerism and the rapidly expanding self-obsession of a culture slowly choking on its own greed that has ever been put to film. As you can probably tell, it’s a personal favorite.
Now you can experience the glory of Carpenter’s masterpiece on Blu-Ray this November, when the Collector’s Edition hits shelves with a shiny new cover and a veritable bounty of special features, including bonus content, “all-new interviews, an audio commentary and archival material”.
Plus, you can score an awesome limited edition poster of the film’s new cover when you pre-order over at ShoutFactory.com. I have no shame in admitting that I’m purchasing myself a copy, rent and bills be damned.
Still slowly getting used to writing for my new blog, but OH MY GOD THEY LIVE ON BLU-RAY.
